We, the Brunei Birmingham Students Society (BBSS), are proud to present you the 10th MAD Paintball event in conjunction with Brunei’s 26th National Day. Details on this event are as follows:

Venue: Cosford Paintball Site, Wolverhampton
Date: 27th of February 2010
Time: 0830 to 1700

Registration Open: 10th of January 2010
Deadline of Registration: 31st January 2010
Deadline of Payments: 3rd February 2010
Slots: 14 Teams; 16 players per team (12 on field, 4 as reserves) - min 12 players
Fee: £480 per team (food and drinks are inclusive)

Notes from the organizer:

- Generally, you will be provided with Tippman 98 (NOT Ions) but Warped Paintball have high-end markers up for rent at GBP 25 for the whole day. The host has a limited number of high-end markers, so book with us fast (the usual first come, first served).
- Each team will be provided 10,000 paints.
- Lastly and most importantly, we will be having a mass battle (maybe 50 vs 50 players) at the end of the day. Hosts do require a little extra payment which will be GBP 5 per person.

Majlis Khatam Al-Quran Easter 2010‏

Hello all.

Assalamualaikum,

Firstly to introduce myself, I'm Hjh Norajimah, BruLeeds Assistant Religious Officer. I'm writing this to invite your society to our Majlis Khatam Al-Quran here in Leeds, which will be held some time in March or April, that is during Easter break insyaAllah.

This ceremony is held under BSU London's approval and Ustaz Hj Raminey will come over to Leeds to lead the event. The same Khatam ceremony will be held as well in London during Easter but Ustaz has given us some flexibility and the opportunity to have our own Khatam ceremony in Leeds so that we don't have to travel to London.

So to enliven this ceremony more, I would like to invite your society to join and participate the mentioned event. The proposed date is still under discussion but we will inform you as soon as we have confirmed everything. Hence, those who want to join the event will have to make their own recitations and complete it before the ceremony. So, if anyone is interested, please provide us with their names, contact numbers and their e-mail addresses, and how many people will be joining from your society. It would be helpful if you ask everyone to confirm as soon as they can, and if possible, please do get back to me before the end of December. If there are any enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us.

University of Bradford alumni dinner

Reception and Dinner in Brunei
Twenty graduates joined parents of students currently studying in Bradford and special guests for a reception and buffet dinner at the Empire Hotel and Country Club on Tuesday, 3 November 2009. Organised by the Alumni Office and hosted by Vice-Chancellor Professor Mark Cleary, who gave a talk on the progress of the University of Bradford.

Also joining our graduates was the British High Commissioner, HE Mr Rob Fenn and Cecile Dasal, Education Promotion Officer, representatives from the Ministry of Education and the Prime Minister's Office, along with colleagues from the Universiti of Brunei and Institute of Teknologi.(Taken from http://www.brad.ac.uk/alumni/international-alumni/events-and-reunions/brunei/)
